Reflect- What aspects of figure drawing were most challenging? What types of figure drawings were you most successful drawing? Why?
The most challenging aspects of figure drawing was proportion and angle. That to me, is considered the foundation of the end of the piece for a pose/model drawing. However, the types of figure drawings I were more successful in drawing were longer posed, torso drawings. They do not highlight faces, fingers, or feet. I feel like it is one of the most ideal compositional forms for me. I am able to better differentiate between lights and darks, and they are of larger surfaces than hands, feet, or heads. I also feel that it is easier to not generalize the form as I do with the human face. To look at things as a form rather than an assumed figure or structure greatly contributed to making these forms becoming more successful.
