I originally had the idea of draping fabric going out in a weird way. I originally started with a wireform under the fabric to give it form that would make the draping form in different directions. I was inspired by works of many fashion designers that used unique forms to shape their garments. I was also inspired by constellations/space, and plastic toy dinosaurs. I originally had these materials in hand, and decided to recycle them. The gold holographic, pink satin, and blue velvet fabric are all very different colored/textured fabrics that are well differentiated between each other. Without looking at the original form of the “human arms”, these fabrics are represented in a way where there is no visibile outline of what the arms might actually be.
