SEMINAR IN-CLASS JOURNAL ENTRY (Week 9)
- Research process: Im finding that it’s really easy to find general information on my topic / thesis, but it is very difficult to piece everything together since there is so much information. I still have to work on the actual paper.
- I think I need to further research the real life effects and examples of people turning to gangs because of the way they grew up and what they saw / thought was normal relating to gang culture
- I have always been aware of systems but after this class, I have been thinking about systems much more. The idea of a system overwhelms me sometimes because many of the systems put in place today are fucked up.
- I really enjoyed the readings about the art of walking because I had never really thought about walking in this way until I read it. This class has definitely made me more aware of societal constructs as well.
