NYC sites: The Village

Greenwich Village is one of the most attractive areas in New York.  It has its peculiarity such as café and bohemian culture.  I was able to see various characteristic images, buildings, and figures of Greenwich Village at the Mid-Manhattan Library and on the street in the Village.  However, I searched many famous artists at Greenwich Village.  Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg, Jane Jacobs, Andy Warhol, Edie Sedgwick, and more people loved Greenwich Village.  I was curious the relation between this particular region and the people.  Why have those artistic people activated at the village?  I talked this with my professor, and she informed me the café culture must have influenced those people.  People drink, eat, think, write, and speak at the cafés.  Cafés are not only lounge places but also the place where people share ideas and improve the ideas throughout conversations.

Café culture is the significant feature of Greenwich Village, so my partner and I focused on the previous work, which was making the logo of the Village, and I now more concentrate the people of Greenwich Village.  This image represents Greenwich Village with distinguishing architectures, its map, the people, and a dog.
