I went several fabric and trimming stores. I chose the fabrics and trimmings based on my theme and the mood board. I would like to design a blouse, and I gather the fabrics and trimmings as a shape of a blouse on a canvas.

- The two birds are symbol of freedom.

- Some color and tone and different textures. This is an experimental process. Eventually, I will use one of the fabrics.

- Korean people use particular collar. It is called “Dongjung.” It is made of rigid paper and thin fabric. I couldn’t find it in the city.

- Instead of dongjung, I tried different types of trims. I will choose one of them for the collar.

- I found these rings at the trimming store. I chose these to represent the oppression of sexual slaves in Korea, because they reminded me of the handcuffs.

- I think different shapes of the rings will be better in aesthetic way. The wrapping rope conveys the oppression as well.

- This is the back of the blouse. Compare to the front of the blouse, it is more decorated. It emphasizes the beautiful girls’ wishes and hopes.

- The multiple color twisted trimming would be dongjung or danggi which is traditional Korean style ribbon.

- Jade is used as an ornament in Asia.

- I might use leather on this artifact.
