Memoir II: Laundry
Thought I: hope
I remember the distinctive scent of laundry on sunny days.
I am nostalgic for the mood and the air of those days.
I cannot feel the mood in New York City or nowdays.
I have a longing to see, feel, touch, smell it agian.
Thought II: interesting inconsistency
There is one most private thing that people are willing to show in public.
It’s their laundry.
It’s incongruous.
A wistful intimateness of one’s clothing out in public.
