The research question was does a fast fashion impact on the environment. I did not realize before the research that the environment polluted a lot because of the fast fashion. My thesis came out from the research about fast fashion was, the environment system is limited to create an unlimited quantity. Society has to stop fast fashion. Inspiration keyword started from the word that related to fast fashion. Started from the term of fast fashion. Fast fashion is selling designs that mimic the high luxury brand at a low price. Then, for the low price, the manufacturer hired low labors and used low quality and price material. My curiosity started from this point. How much environment sources needed for the manufacture. What if they are not sold, where all the products go. As the bridge 3, I decided to create the moments of the fast fashion affect to the environment with the object that inspired from each of the resources. Like Cabinets of Curiosity, I had to chance to put the object in the box beside the idea that brought out the object I prefer to make a story with action in it. I hope to box itself as one object because I asked myself if the Victorian Cabinets of Curiosity had a modern cabinet, would still feel the same thing from there?
The answer was no, in my opinion, the outline itself have to say something. I decided the box itself symbolize as an ocean that polluted by dying method of fast fashion. Then the pole symbolizes as manufacture. Then flower has the meaning of time that trend rise and fall. The thread expresses textile waste. The wooden piece expresses greenhouse gases. Then the knit swatch that made out of old t-shirts express the solution of the fast fashion.
