The research started from the relation between fast fashion and the environment. Lots of people did not realize how fast fashion affect the environment. The fast way pollutes the environment badly every season. This concept of the project is using recycled garments and fabric to create my design explanation of fashion look. I hoped to create a fashion look that does not follow the trend called slow fashion.
The concept of this fashion collection is to destroy and ruin. The color inspired by the artwork ‘Black Square’ from Russian artist Malevich. For the express of the destruction of the environment, the edge of garments is unfinished.
The idea of photo inspired by the movie invisible men that what I want to express is the end of the world, people possible to die because of the environmental pollution. Then, at the end of the world, the only existence is a garment.
Created by symbolization. The square meant the world. The circle meant a period. Then, the line meant textile waste. The whole concept of the graphic is as time goes by the textile waste piling up every season that kills the world.
Through my artwork, I hope people get a realization about the pollution created by fast fashion manufacturers. Then be more considerate about the trend and fast fashion. The environmental sources are limited.
