For this project I got inspiration from a piece I did last year. I liked the colors and the plants and wanted to rework them.

These are sketches I did to help me plan out what I wanted to  do for my dreamtime. I knew i wanted plants and clouds.

Step 1: I had the stencils that I used for the drawing I had done last year and I scanned them. I then brought the scan into illustrator to draw them out.Once I had them drawn out I layered them on top of each other to be able to create a pattern.

 

Step 2:

I had also drawn out some clouds using circles and I copy pasted them from illustrator to photoshop.

Once I had the clouds placed I copy +pasted the leafs  but spaced them out.

After put the leafs in I filled in the bottom half with more leaves. Creating a pattern with the layered leaves.

 

 

 

 

Step 3: Then I brought in one of sketches into illustrator.

I chose purples for the skin and hair tone to incorporate the colors I had used in my drawing.I then copy+pasted my this into photoshop and fit into the leaves.

I liked how it was looking but it needed something to bring it together. I decided to copy the eye from the figure I had drawn in illustrator and add them to the clouds. I also decides to make swatches of the colors I used.
