This project was meant to help us learn to use perspective in our art.

I was really excited to recreate a space and to make a mood board. When I made my mood board I sketched my Ideal room, helping I would find a space similar to it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I was inspired by the color of Frida Kahlo’s home. I also knew I wanted to incorporate plants, as well as a statue similar to the one in the the image I found.

Sadly the I did not find a room that looked like this, instead I drew a hallway in the University

Center.

Drawing this analog was very hard for me because I couldn’t mark my vanishing points (since they were off the paper). I did learn a lot from this process, and wish I could redo this part of the project.

 

Once I had this drawing I scanned it to be able to bring it into photoshop and start rebuilding my room. After I meet with my professor to talk about my ideas, she taught me how to reconstruct a room that fit my idea better. She said that i could do this by using the points from my drawing and changing the eye line.

This point helped me find my vanishing points. The green lines would later become my floor 

 

 

 

Then I was able to pull the lines from my drawing and find the ceiling.

 

 

Then I cleaned up the lines and ended up with this outline. Later I could go back and use the Lasso tool to fill in the wall with the color I wants.

 

 

 

Then I found a sculpture by Yves Klein I liked and bought it into illustrator.

I placed it on top of a screen shot of my outline help me find the size I wanted. I did the same with some pictures of different plants

 

I went back into illustrator and filled in the walls and outlined the checkered floor.

I started to copy and paste the what I had drawn out in Illustrator and arranging them where I thought fit.

I also added a painting and a window to create more of a balance, as well as create a light source.

From here I added a lighting to determine where the shadow would hit.
