The archive features photos taken during a rainy weekend day in New York. The sequence begins in the rainy streets of Flushing, as I make my way back to Manhattan from a weekend visit to a friend’s house. I decided to capture the procedure as I found my way back, such as stopping for tea in Starbucks early in the morning, and the walk through the wet stone streets until finally making it back to the dorm. I grouped my images with their similar settings or subjects, such as textures of raindrops on different surfaces, and the connection transition of the street views. I took inspiration from the organization of comics, with each frame closely in relation to the next to prevent people from seeing inconsistency. I also plan to add words underneath a few of the images of my thoughts in my head, but I won’t do that for every image, especially those images that are straightforwards in communication.
