I received feedbacks of how I should change the backgrounds of my self-portraits, as the words in the backgrounds and the drippings of the landmarks are taking away the attention from the focus-the portraits of my face. There are also too much going on in the portraits and the words make the pieces seem a bit chaotic. In order to resolve this problem, I will revise the backgrounds in a way in which it will portray the words without the actual words-to redraw the backgrounds and landscapes using colors and shapes, and also make the drippings of the landmarks less obvious, thereby letting my portraits stand out and become the main focus of the pieces. However, I did receive comments about my initial intentions, and they were mainly correct-the drippings of the landmarks fade away from place to place as a demonstration of my memory fading and time passing.
