Disney Projection Mapping

Disney has utilized projection mapping for their nightly magic showing. Multiple projects shoot up at Cinderella’s castle and they have changed it a few times from what I can remember by going there. This one in particular just showcases all of the stories that Disney has told throughout its years and is just about magic.

Its on only one wall of the castle, and for the most part it does work. They avoid the dark tops of the colums when showcasing images since it will not show up as brightly. The only problem with projection mapping is that it needs to be viewed, in most cases, in a certain direction. Once you get too skewed to the right or left, it’s hard to tell what’s going on. And for the most part its hard to see far away, and sometimes the images may come out too faint.

But regardless its something amazing to see in person, with all the surround sound, imagry, and fireworks.
