Title: The Time I Fell Off a Car (and broke my butt)

My final is a story narrated by my brother about the time he rode on the trunk of a car (probably a sedan) and was flung off when his friends made a turn too fast, and he basically landed, tumbled, and broke his tailbone and went to the hospital to check it out. It will be a VR, 360 video. So these kind of videos have already been made and can be viewed on Youtube. The viewer will be able to move around, or sit or be in whatever space they want to be in. As the narration starts, the animation will take place and be 360 so the viewer is completely surrounded by the animation. They’ll be able to view everything from my brother’s perspective and really put them in the story as the main character.

360 videos are taken with either 360 cameras, or multiple cameras strapped together to create a panoramic shot, that is later stitched together in Premiere Pro or After Effects. There are different methods.

For animations, it follows roughly the same idea. The artist needs to draw out the whole panoramic and stitch them together, either with Plug-ins (as most has used) . But with animation it is critical to get the spherical curves correct for it to work properly. As shown below. Then it can be uploaded on Youtube and viewed on phones, or VR gear.

The benefit would to put the viewer right into the scene or scenario to give them the full feel of the story/animation.
