- Experiment with different materials applications to suit a particular object/design, by its function, use, durability, etc.
Assignment description
You will select an object from your immediate surrounding environment and will conduct materials research. Based on your visit to Donghia Healthy Materials Library or Material Connexion (you can log into their library as Parsons Student. Check the instructions I shared with you last week).
Deliverables:
- Write a proposal for designing the chair in 3 different materials
- Present the proposal in a presentation format (PDF)
Reflection:
This assignment helped me identify healthy materials for chair making and how to incorporate them in my design process.
