In this bridge, Studio & Seminar will come together to view the MoMA’s latest exhibit: Items: Is Fashion Modern? We considered how certain fashion archetypes, stereotypes, and prototypes might be the avatars for certain ideas, identities, and techniques. We were not allowed to do any research on our topic. We had to rely strictly on our personal experiences and common knowledge.
Reflection: I am very proud of this essay and what I was able to communicate through it. The essay was able to accurately express my feelings towards the use of fur without sounding too harsh and remaining academic. It was interesting to write an academic paper without doing any research and I wish I was able to include more factual evidence, but this essay did allow me to formulate my own opinion without much outside influence.
