The concept of a “girl” isn’t something that exists in any concrete way outside of the people who identify as such
Pink, pretty, playful, feminine, young, docile, cute… There isn’t an issue with the term itself but the stereotypes and connotations of the word is what can become toxic and complicated.
Created and upheld by a capitalist mindset in order to group people together and push merchandise.
The binary is what is so ~problematic~
Whatever someone wants to be defined as
it’s not really defined by anything other than the people who are girls and implying that femaleness is a set of common qualities or characteristics
the term “girl” doesn’t mean anything other than a reference the people who define themselves that way
