Learning Portfolio Post #3

2 pictures from daily dress log

  1. What themes emerged in your dress practice log?                                                I always wear a statement jacket/coat and a simple silhouette underneath. I also try to match colors of my outfit and make up from head to toe. I also try to dress nicer instead of casual when I knew I was going to meet with people on a particular day. For example, in the first picture I was taking my foster kittens to get their vaccines done. They are brown and yellow tabbies so I tried to match their coat. In the second photo, I was at my office at work. I don’t have to walk a lot that day so I dressed nicer.
  2. What did you notice about daily dress practice that you hadn’t noticed before?                                                                                                                            I’ve realized that I definitely wear pants a lot more than a dress or skirt. I have a huge collection of dresses and skirts and I love them, but pants are just somehow my No.1  choice when it comes to get dressed and get going. I have also noticed that I have one particular element in each one of my outfits.
  3. How did the dress practice log impact your understanding of the relationship between clothing and the body?                                                         I’ve realized that I put a lot of thought into what I wear even when it’s a casual day. I do care about the fabric that goes on my body. I also realized that almost all of my clothing are made from natural fabrics.
