Designing Nonhuman:The Last Jewel-Plastic

Street shots:

For my Becoming/Designing Nonhuman project, I decided to take the perspective of a plastic package, also try to empathize with it to figure out how does it feel and what does it need in its life. The most important thing I dislike about myself is how cheap, and easy-made as a material. I want people to keep me and treasure me as a valuable piece. With this realization, I came up with the idea of redesign a very expensive jewelry piece though plastic and my project intend to promote a value twist between the cheap plastic material and the more costly but natural materials. If people try to re-build the concept we now have towards plastic and set a higher price for its primary materials.  The customer might automatically keep their plastic items and reuse them more or choose a cheaper substitution that is more sustainable.
