I selected this article because it talks about coral bleaching which as a person who greatly cares about the environment is intriguing. The article goes through many statistics and mentions many qualified professors that back the evidence. However I decided to block out everything irrelevant, I wanted to make the articles as simple and blunt as possible This article after I altered it is supposed to be almost a slap in the face to politicians to “wake the f*ck up.” Our current political government right now seems to need single step instructions on how to preserve the earth. Another line I blocked out stated ” Recent research has found that corals that survived the 2016 bleaching were more resistant to a recurrence of the hot ocean conditions a year later. So there is hope that corals will adapt,” on purpose. Once again to get the idea that humanity still has time until the breaking point or else we will never change.
