Union Square was opened to public on July 19, 1839.
Union Square’s design style was inspired by London’s residential squares.
Union Square Park is a central place for people celebrating Labor Day.
In 1928-29, Union Square Park was destroyed completely, in order to make the underground subway.
Since 1979, the Green Farmer’s Market became a landmark in Union Square for selling health food and vegetables.
