1. Fahion can be about confirmation, of self and others. But it is also about anxiety, ambiguity and worry. As an aid to understanding psychological complexities it is unsurpassed.

I think it means people can use fashion to confirm their identity. I agree with it. People may not wear what they like to be wear, but to wear what they want to be wear, such as they use fashion to protect themselves or pretend themselves to be another person or another identity. I am a black person, because I like to wear clothes in black color, but sometimes, I’d like to  some pinky and colorful clothes to show my mood.

2. Fashion is intensely personal, in the seme way that poetry is intensely personal. it is a medium through which personal stories can be hold, memories re-lived and futures foretold.

I think it means people have their own fashion. The clothes they dress can show their personality. I agree with that. When I look at people, it’s hard for us to ignore their dressing. People may on purpose or not on purpose to judge other people through their dressing style.  The outgoing person usually pay more attention on their clothes, or the cute girls usually like to wear pink clothes or dresses.
