Reading  the essays by Tony Hiss And R. Murry Schafer  you start to understand that as  you get older you may lose creativity and your sense of wonder.  Children, on the other hand have such a vast imagination, that adults start to lose due to the harsh realities of life.   When transitioning from child to preteen to adult,  you become more visual, more aware,and start to question many different things.  R. Murray Schafer essay is  less about landscapes and more about soundscapes! Its about the concepts of sounds and how sounds are only a one time experience because all sounds are different. Similar to photography  and everything else, sounds have to be studied through historians and writers. In other words visual awareness is more direct rather than arual awareness is  more centered.

Having us read these essays allows us to be more aware and our surroundings and more creative, things only happen once and we should capture it.  Triggering your sense of wonder is  essential to “deep travel”  because it allows you to explore more than what you’re capable of.  Having a sense of wonder allows you to actually go out of your own way to achieve more, and deep travel will only just enhance your sense of wonder even more.  Just by exploring and being visually you can be inspired by many different things  such as other artists, social media, politics, and even yourself .
