Time: Frame – Open Works Final Project

This is my Final Open Works Project for this course. I have always been interested in cinematography as it relates to fashion, so this project was an outlet for me to explore this interest. I created all of the clothing in this video, as well as the cinematography and editing (done in Premiere). The effect I was going for was a plastic and surreal effect, which I believe was conveyed nicely in the aesthetic of this video. I created a nonlinear narrative of a tea party, with a focus on lighting, cinematography, and editing techniques. The completion of this project let me to really focus on time elements like framework and using different sizes and durations of frames to convey different scenes. This project influence me to think about time in a nonlinear way, and how I can convey that through my framework. I would love to explore linear methods in my video work going forwards.
