Studio: Mackenzie Wark Response

“The strategist is not the proprietor of a field of knowledge, but rather assesses the value of the forces aligned on any available territory.  The strategist occupies, evacuates, or contests any territory at hand in pursuit of advantage.” (MacKenzie Wark)

Inspired by the shape and movement of glaciers I created a puzzle that can be created in various shapes.

The puzzle can be assembled, broken into pieces, and built in two entirely separate ways, demonstrating that the strategist creates their own interaction by aligning forces in a way that they believe is best fit.

The goal of the puzzle is not to put it together perfectly but to allow each individual to create their own interaction occupying as much or little space as they feel is necessary.
