Helena Wang was my partner, and the person that I conducted my social media analysis with. Based off of the photos she gave me, I worked to create something that ultimately we both really liked. Exploring the images and content that she gave me, along with the social media handles we exchanged, we were really able to conduct a throughout analysis of each other.
Analysis
Based off the images she provided I immediately began to annotate based off backgrounds and content that they held. The colors were repetitive and provided a deeper context as to her likes and dislikes. Overall I felt that the images created a cohesive look and feel, that represented the style and mentality that Helena often brings to class.
Based off this analysis I knew immediately that I wanted to create an object that contained colors from her images, each color from the stickers I created were selected from her images.
Gifts
My final gift to Helena were stickers of her dog, while I received a gift of a photoshop drawn image that I was previously posted on my Instagram.
The Exchange
The atmosphere of the classroom created some hesitation prior to presenting the gift, but the exchange felt genuine. The exchange created a bond I believe between the two of us, because we both felt excited about the gifts that we received.
