Water system – Creative Work ProjectÂ
For my sustainable systems class, I decided to create a 3D diagram that was both interactive yet informative. To follow the sustainable aesthetic, I worked with paper and cardboard (and re used it again to create the book). The colours I chose where also chosen to create a fun and enjoyable map. On the bottom I arranged a map of Paris that is divided by districts and colours, each different colour explains where the water comes from (varying on rivers). On top, using tracing paper I placed arrows and flags that guide the direction of the water. Using paper, I created models of the different reservoirs of water. Finally I created a small book that contained just enough information to understand the map, but in a very concise way.
If I would have done it again, I should think about creating a bigger map, that allows me to introduce more reservoirs, as well as using a different and more transparent tracing paper that would allow me to show the map of Paris located on the bottom.
