Project Description:
Students have to create a zine based off of one of the movie choices (In my case Ex-Machina). Students have to take a position on a social issue from that movie and create a zine from that perspective. The zine should use both text and image and have a two-page map.
Reflection:
While making my zine I wanted to figure out a way to show a societies perspective if there were to be an outbreak of Artificial intelligence robots. I wanted to show how fear would make humans turn against each other which would allow for robots to take over America. I used handwritten text along with hand-drawn images to show how a lot of Americans are reliant on technology while still viewing it as an enemy. The troubles that I had was mainly printing out the zine because the glossy paper doesn’t print on both sides so I had to glue it instead.
