This is a picture of the Kombucha after 2 weeks. I didn’t post anything because there was no progress after a week. I found this white layer covering the surface of the water. I have no idea what this means so I am going to ask Oliver this friday. I hope this doesn’t mean there is something wrong with my Kombucha.

It was snowing SO much and by the time I arrived at the Ecology Center, I looked like I took a shower with snow. It was so cold and I was a little lost so I arrived late.

We talked about how manhattan is basically man made. People build up on the sand-like land to basically expand the edge of the city. This was the most interesting parts of the day to me. We also tested how much oxygen in the water from the river. The picture above is some creatures extracted straight from the river outside of the Ecology Center.

Two pictures below are just a view outside of the center. I just took them because it looked so pretty with snow even though walking in the cold cold weather with snowing in your face wasn’t so pretty.

Because of the temperature of my apartment, we had to wait for the heat pad to come from Amazon. We started our project a little late (March 3rd 2017).

Now I guess I will have to wait and see how it grows!

Dear Climate,

Hi, My name is Gogo. I have known you ever since I was born and you were always there with me for my whole life. The first thing I do when I wake up is checking the weather everyday. That has been the way for me to start and plan my day ahead. You could say that my day gets planned out based on you!

To be honest with you, I don’t think I cared this much about you since very recently. I mean…it is very hard not to think about you nowadays since you change your mind so much. One day you give us this beautiful warm day so we think the winter is over and now the spring will be here any seconds….and then the next day, you give us this nasty, cold, dark and windy day!

I am so sorry for all that we humans have done to you. We didn’t think it would do this much damage. It is a shame to admit this but truthfully, I don’t think we cared enough about you.

We are working and trying to make things better individually everyday. I hope you can understand and forgive us soon.

I would love for you to be always healthy and in a good mood.

I hope you get better soon.

I love you, Don’t be mad at us anymore.

Never heard of the word ‘Resilience’ so it was my first time learning the meaning of the word.

Anthropocene was another new interesting word for me to learn.
