3 Techniques (Material Binder)

For the first swatch, I had a few yards of a fabric that I realized after buying was not the best color, but I partially bought it for its weave of black under the orangy mustard color. I wanted to bring the black to light more, so I tweezed out some of the yellow, then, later experiment with taking out the black, which I was not as fond of. I then used the leftover threads to create a different textile, however, I think it would be more interesting in yarn.

For this first one I used thread in a similar fashion to the above, but with more stitching, then tried a quilting type pinstripe method on the other side. The thread was also sandwiched between different colors of tulle. The swatch on the right is layered organza and tulle cut out and layers. This technique could be really interesting, though I don’t see myself using it on this project.
