Once upon a time there was a selkie who lived in the sea. This selkie was kind but very ditzy and not so smart. Despite living in the sea this selkie somehow made her way to a desert. This was no place for a selkie but nevertheless the selkie explored her surroundings and ended up finding a skirt. When they put that skirt on they ended up turning to a glove puppet. The skirt was cursed! Despite being a puppet, they were still “alive” in a sense and she could still move her arms but she couldn’t walk anymore. She at least had enough mobility to remove the cursed skirt and change herself back. Unfortunately the selkie was too dumb to understand it’s situation and liked the skirt too much to take it off and remove the curse. It stayed like this forever.
