For visual culture we were instructed to choose pictures that represented our research question and that can help us make a claim about our topic. After looking through artwork inspired by people who’ve experienced sleep deprivation I got a better sense of the mental and psychological effects a lack of sleep can have on emotions and mood. Also many of my sources from the annotated bibliography also talk about this claim. 
These three images give me a different sense of how people look at sleep deprivation. The first one which illustrates someone holding their eyes open gives the sense that he is forcing himself to stay awake mich like some people who are too busy to sleep. The next piece is a cloud coming from a cup of coffee which is holding his eyes open to illustate the effect of coffee and the reason why someone might need it to stay awake. The last is of a person who is sleeping amongst everyone else who is going to work this supports my claim that people become overwhelmed with work and it becomes a factor that stops them from getting enough sleep
