Memory, Material, and Place
Since it was my first time visiting the 9/11 memorial, I didn’t realize how deep and powerful it would be. I noticed how large the space covered especially how its the largest manmade waterfall in the United States. I also noticed the engravement on the bronze while the water was running underneath. Lastly, I noticed the number of people that were surrounded in that one area. I believe its so powerful that people are able to just stand in that area to remember 9/11. One place I used to visit every November 1 is the cemetery for my grandfather. Another place is with my grandmother in Taiwan. We go to the cemetery for my great-grandmother. There are the two places I visit to remember.
