Part 3:

Another experience that I did on my own in relation to visual and audio. The video features one of the charcoal drawing piece that I did in 2015, expresses the interior fear of humans through shapes and values in a composition. (Explicit effect warning)

Reflection:

The project uses images and sound that we produce ourselves, to experience the relation between the images and sounds. I photographed series of images documented the change of object such as a glass of ice cubes and a citrus throughout the time interval.

The process of change matter because the slowing merging of the two images makes the audiences experience the process of change once again. It is a type of visual effects that the video creates for the audiences. It relates to the relationship of video/ audio pace that we learned in class.

The experience makes me understand the relation from the changing of images and how it is perspective to the feeling the video conveys. The project can be develop into a longer video featuring more images to demonstrate the merging between two objects.

I love the photo series with the glass of water. The angles you used and the reflections on the glass make the photos extremely successful!

The quality of the photos are stunning. The ice melting in the class should be really interesting to see put together with the sound component. Can’t wait to see the finished version!

The use of the black background makes the images look quite professional and clean, which I like.

While the first set has a very clear succession, I find it interesting how in the second set of pictures, the glass becomes more full as time passes. Juxtaposed to the mandarin, which decreases in size, one can see how the water glass comes to occupy more rather than less space in a way that diverges from most ideas of food and time.

I like both series because they both give me a clear idea of begging, middle, and end.

I really like the second series of photographs with the glass of ice because it really shows the life span of ice from beginning to end.
