Initial Project Statement

  • WHAT
The installation is going to focus on the interaction with space & audiences & time (Inspire by Dia: Beacon). How the scale is going to play a role when audiences experience time.
  • HOW
The gradual change of an object/ objects throughout the period. Ex: Apple gets oxidized within half an hour, bag of water slowly drip through during a certain time interval. The changes of the objects  almost serve as a calculation of time.
  • WHY
I have been always wanting to have my own space/room to do a large scale installation. During the limited time interval of the installation time, it sets a time frame for the changing time of the chosen object.

Nice idea. I Like that you want to deal with change.
How about some initial ideas sketched out? Think on paper!
Those sandback pieces are such a miracle. So simple and so effective.
Right now it is a little difficult to tell where this might go.

Time keeping ideas. look at THE LONG NOW foundation as well as all of the links in Open Works around Measuring and Reshaping Time.
Look at Ancient Incan writing/accounting time keeping tools using knots!
