The objects preserved in the bags range from representation of time, measurement of time, and changes through time, etc. Each object has different connection to time than the other. They are collected from different aspects of life, and put together onto a wall as a Time Archive that connects to people understanding of time.

Total of 18 objects.

7.The process of the work went pretty smooth, only some of the items were difficult to maintain as the ideal condition. People connect to the artwork from their own understanding of time to the objects. My professor suggested that this can be an interactive art piece with empty plastic zip bags and markers on the side, where people can also contribute to the piece. I would pay more attention to investigate what other materials can challenge people’s understanding of time.

In this four dimensional world that we live in, length, width, height and time. Time as an essential part to this world that we live in, everything in our life has some indirect connection to the concept. In this class, we discussed about numerous different way of perceiving time, which help us get a better understanding of the concept of time. As a result, I will be able to connect back to the world from the knowledge that I gained from this class, and further develop my project.
