For the assignment, I have observed on 13th street and 5th ave. The traffic around school was busy and crowded. Most of the people around the site were students who were going to the class, leaving from school, smoking, taking a break, chatting in groups. There were also people who were police, professor, school guard, tourists walking by, parents with there kids.

The system I found on the site were the traffic/ transportation system, school/ class system, building/ repairing system,  building/ school management system, and gas/water/power system.

Because of the space are filled with a huge amount of people, the system I found interesting was the transportation system. Most of the people at the site were going somewhere. The students are going to the class or leaving school, people who went through the site and cars driving.

People are waiting for the light to go across the street, the cars are making turns or going straight, the people who are waiting for uber/ taxi, and the people going to the subway station. I found the traffic lights keep people and cars in orders, gives people time to go across the street safely and keeping cars away from traffic jam.

Most of the system in this site can be found anywhere in the city and the city is designed with many more systems that I haven’t found. This site includes food and cloth store, parking spots, coffee shop, art material supply shop, and jewelry shop.  the site is designed for students and for the convenient life for the people living nearby.
