The High Line Material & Structure Analysis

Notes + Sketches:

Drawing of the chair:

Roller installed on chairs and attached to a railway. The railway is secured by metal nut screws and drilled onto a wood which is connected to the ground.

Grid-like patterned steel incorporated in between the paving floor to allow the drainage of water.

Steel with circles is being attached to a long steel block and fastened with a screw. The steel with circles acts as an envelope enveloping the steel block, creating negative space.

Using the body to measure.

Wires are being used to create a separation between the plants and the pathway. This is to create a physical barrier and the negative space between the wires allows users to be able to see through and enjoy the plants.
