My first idea was to repurpose the black shorts and knock-off Rubik’s Cube
into a dad hat. I originally had the idea to melt the plastic of the
cube to make the brim of the baseball cap before I realized how dangerous
it was. So instead, I made the hat into a mixture of a winter hat and a baseball
cap. I decided to utilize the part of the cube by fashioning it into a button that
typically holds the top of the hat together. I also utilized the waistband of the
shorts as a hat strap.
Some issues I had with this project were learning how to sew properly and putting pieces together well. I also had a block in figuring out how to incorporate parts of the Rubik’s Cube into the hat, so I fashioned it into a button.
