For the final project for the City of Islands course at The New School, I propose a renovation project at North Brother Island to make the existing buildings bird-accessible. The project aims to clean up the existing damaged architecture and turn it into a suitable habitat for the native birds of New York. Minor interventions like clean up, timber construction, and dirt passageways are needed to keep the native species safe.
