When I was first introduced to this project, my professor had explained that we can take our figure drawing and place it into a space. One phrase that struck me in his explanation was “you can cut pieces of the figure off”, and I ultimately came up with the figure drawing mannequin factory. It was actually around the time of Halloween when I decided to wanted to make a horrifying illustration piece. Severed limbs and torsos and a space without windows were all I could think about around this time.

I re-did part of the assignment and got rid of the second full-figure. The only full figure looking over the severed limbs and torsos of its friends was part of the horror I wanted to evoke in the viewer.
