biPhone is a sound piece meant to keep a conversation between 2 individuals completely private and intimate. The bodies are very close to each other but are facing away; there is also no eye contact between the individuals, only darkness. It represents the way people communicate today: people are more comfortable with having a conversation without physically seeing them. Eye contact and bodies facing each other have become irrelevant.

I started with a folded piece of paper and kept making and connecting until I had formed a geometric ball shape. The form allowed for acoustics, meaning a more intimate conversation; it can amplify whispers and soft speakers. The fabric patterning was an experiment of aesthetics, but in the end, it served as a tool to keep the conversations within the device and muffled from the outside.
