My final project was a project inspired from Hester Simpson and Georgia O’Keefe. Growing up I have always been very drawn towards Georgia O’keefe’s painting because of the flowers and colors. For this project I wanted to stay true to her use of flowers but personalizing it by making it a Mexican flower. For Hester Simpson, I was inspired by her use of colors and a grid so I wanted to mesh the ideas together. I made many prototypes and color studies to decide upon my final idea. I am pleased with my final outcome.
