Bridge 4 New Monument

Final Prototype

For my redesign of the Charging Bull Monument, I will create a sandstone sculpture replicating the balls of the original Charging Bull, but at a larger scale. The balls will have a slightly grainy texture and will stand just taller than the average person. Sandstone is a material that degrades from wear, so as people visit the balls to rub them for luck, the sculpture will get smaller and smaller over time. The process will happen slowly, however, eventually, the balls will crumble into nothing from the excessive rubbing, showing visitors that their own greed caused its destruction.

Brochure

Featured above is an image of the brochure we created to inform people about the Charging Bull, give them information on our new branding, and show them what we propose for the redesign.

Souvenirs

Our first souvenir is a money clip. Tagged with a quote,” Do you feel Secure,” we are referring to the insecurity that often comes with the stock market due to unpredictable fluctuations. The clip is a small, yet very significant souvenir that questions the users with a message. Our purpose for this product is for consumers to be able to keep their money safe due to their distrust in a stable economy.  For our second souvenir, we chose a blanket to continue asking the question, “Do you feel secure”? In our contemporary society, we associate blankets as things we reach for when we are in need of comfort and stability.
