This course’s objective was to learn how to draft, construct a 3D model, and render. Each student was assigned a different house that was worked on throughout the semester. I was assigned the Roblas Cube House by Moscato Schere Todo Terreno in Argentina. With the information found on the internet, we were to use each program to create a cohesive portrayal of the house (it doesn’t seem that my house actually reached building completion, so I was requested to wing it)
The first program we set out to learn was AutoCad, where we learned how to draw floor plans, section, and elevations. The objective wasn’t necessarily the technical aspect of it, but the portrayal of the building.
The next program we set out to learn was Rhino and the Vray plugin. We took the construction lines from AutoCad, and exported them to Rhino to build the 3D model. Once that was completed, we used Vray to render, then brought it to Photoshop for touch-ups. (Unfortunately, my student version of Vray has a limit on the resolution of the renders)
After we completed the Rhino model and its renders, we set out to learn Revit. Here is a sample work of the Roblas Cube House using Revit:
Additionally, here are some basic renders made through Rhino and Photoshop for a non-architectural class:
