This project is a response to the high density living in urban areas. This is a proposal for a multi-generational family home in Brooklyn. The challenge addressed here was how can a house have the benefits of multi-generational living with the privacy that a single family home provides.
Multi-generational homes have many cultural, economic, and social benefits which have been lost in modern day living. With urban density on the rise, it can be beneficial for both the younger and older generations to share a home where there can be an exchange of wisdom, company, and responsibilities.
