How it was created:

Using the process that Allison provided for us I followed it step by step. First I boiled 13 cups of water in a covered pot on the stove. When water began to boil I added in 6 bags of Lipton tea and removed the bags after 4 minutes. I poured the entire bag of sugar that was provided to me into the pot of hot tea and stirred until dissolved. I then waited until the tea was room temperature, with the Scoby already in the container provided I slowly added in the tea, stopping when the water level reached the line around the container. Then i checked the PH of the contents and decided to add a few drops of apple cider vinegar to make the PH around 4.  I let this sit for a couple of weeks and tracked the progress.

Then I removed the film that had grown on the top and rinsed it with mild soap and laid it out to dry. after one day of drying I pulled apart multiple layers and then put them back to dry. After two days the leather is still slightly wet and I cut it into the pieces I need for the earrings, bracelet, necklace, and pouch. After this, using the techniques I already know and a jewelry kit I had in my art supplies I assembled all the pieces.
