For this assignment, the class was to create a fake twitter avatar and tweet as if they were this person. The objective was to convincingly have a holistic character at the conclusion of their tweeting. The follow up was to then use their characters tweets, interactions, and persona to build an abstract object that encompasses their character in whole. My persona was named Jackie Mann and was a teenage witch who moved from Salem to New York. She worked as a photographer and drew many of her inspirations from Wicca culture and music. She often tweeted her photo work as well as lyrics to songs. Similarly, she had a heavy background as she was seen tweeting about missing home back in Salem. For my piece, I created a moment that could be a decoration in Jackie room or made by Jackie herself. It consisted of a present moon made from dried flowers and elements such as feathers, a Wicca candle, gems, and copper wire. The meaning behind each element related back to Wicca culture and were arraigned in a way to tell a story of who she is. The most challenging part of this assignment was creating an object that can completely encompass this person. To make a decisive object, all tweets as well as likes, retweets, and interactions may be taken into account.
