Elizabeth Hurley in Versace

This black dress made by Versace was created in 1994 for British actress Elizabeth Hurley for the premiere of the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral. The dress was made of lycra and silk and was held together by large gold safety pins. This dress was credited for launching Elizabeth Hurley’s career. I chose this dress because it was iconic to the 90’s and how women’s bodies were more celebrated because of Versace.

Mom’s wedding dress

My moms wedding dress was designed by a designer in Cuba who’s name I do not know. She wore it in 1992 for her wedding. The dress consists of a lot of lace, mesh and silk. I chose my moms wedding dress because it is a pretty goof example of wedding dresses in the 90’s

Elsa Schiaparelli dress

The Chinese lantern dress by Elsa Schiaparelli was created in 1951. I chose this dress because it is unlike a lot of other garments I’ve seen in the 50’s.

 Chanel from the 90’s

These are runway looks from the house of Chanel in the 90’s. Chanel created some of the most iconic looks of the time and is a personal influence of mine.
