An Artist Community

Coming from a small creative town, I have always loved the idea of art. I have never thought that I would not want to live in a creative community, because it gives off the feeling of being happy. When artists come together they connect in a way that is different from other jobs. Moving to New York City, I knew that it was going to be different, it would still be creative but in a more modern and up to speed art. Meaning that my home town was artsy but people weren’t up to the modern techniques, even if they thought they were. Being brought up in that type of community has had me think about the kind of life that I want to live in. I wouldn’t live happily if I was living in a place that wasn’t full of art, it would be sad and depressing. It might be because it gives me a sense of comfort because it is a subject that I can see and understand. It gives me a sense of connection of home even when I am miles and miles away.
